STAND UP FOR CHANGE

What:

Events in your state:

In the face of global crisis we must join together, stand up and take action against global poverty
If we don’t act now the current global financial crisis could push a further 90 million people back into extreme poverty. As many as one billion people will suffer from chronic hunger and the progress we have made towards achieving the Millennium Development Goals will be reversed.

Now more than ever we can’t let the momentum stall. We can’t just turn our backs on the world’s poor. For the first time in history our generation can put an end to the injustice of global poverty, but time is running out.

Stand Up For Change is a six week Campaign involving passionate young people from all across Australia. We're lobbying our government to meet their commitment of 0.7%GNI in foreign aid, fundraising for Oaktree's overseas projects and creating a movement of young people who want to see an end to extreme poverty in our lifetimes.

Join with us as we take action.

Our Fair Share
Add your voice to the petition by calling on our nation's leaders to give Australia's fair share of 0.7%GNI in foreign aid by 2015. (Instructional video is below, featuring Nick and Viv)
